To Submit a Message for review, press the paper plane icon in the bottom tab-bar of the Communications module. This will provide a form for the Member to fill out to Submit a Message. Starting from the top, the first thing to do is select the communication groups which will receive the Message. This is a required field as the Message needs at least 1 Member Group to receive it. To add a Member Group to the recipients of the Message, tap the “plus” icon in the top right, or tap anywhere in the grey box. This will open a modal for the Member to search and select communication groups. Communication groups can be selected by tapping on the group in the list. The Parent communication groups can be expanded be tapping on the downwards arrows on the right-hand side of the groups. This will allow for selecting child communication groups under a parent. Selecting a parent group will automatically select all child groups under the parent. If there are more than 2 layers of communication groups, each layer’s children will contain a hyphen at the front of the name. The number of hyphens is how deep the layered child communication group is located. After the communication groups field is the title of the communication Message. This field is limited to 150 characters. This is also a required field. Below the title is a switch which allows converting the Message into an RSVP type of Message. This prevents adding additional attachments but allows Members to respond the Message with a positive or negative reaction. The Message field contains the text being added to the Message when Submitting. The maximum character limit on this field is 65535. The Camera option will prompt the Member to take a photo or video to add to the Message. The Gallery option works the same way as the camera, allowing a Member to select a video or image from the saved gallery on the Device. The Audio option lets the Member record an audio Message and attach it to the Message. To begin recording an audio Message, press the yellow “record” button. The timer will start counting up, and the record icon will update. To stop the recording, press the “stop” button. To play the recording back, press the “play” button. To stop the playback, press the “stop” button. Once a recording has been added, the Member can tap the “add audio” button. This will prompt the Member to name the audio file. The Member can cancel at any time by pressing the cancel button on the audio name prompt, or the “back” button at the top left of the record audio modal. The final option is to add a document as an attachment. The only supported document type is PDFs. This option will allow the Member to select a file on their Device to attach to the Message. To clear the Message, press the “clear” button and confirm. This will clear every field, allowing the Member to write a new Message. This cannot be undone. To Submit a message, press the Submit button when all required fields have been filled out. Submitting a Message may take some time, especially with a large file.
